A ‘machete’ attack has taken place on a Glasgow<\/a> street as a gangland war continues to grip Scotland.<\/p>\n

A 39-year-old man was attacked on Lunan Place, in the city’s Govan area, just before 2pm on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Unconfirmed reports suggest the attack involved a machete and could be linked to an ongoing gang war.<\/p>\n

A number of incidents have since taken place in Glasgow<\/a>, Edinburgh and surrounding areas in recent weeks, with private homes and business premises targeted, including firebomb attacks.<\/p>\n

Officers from Operation Portaledge, who have already made 50 arrests as they probe the gangland war, are understood to be involved in the investigation into Sunday’s attack.<\/p>\n
