Lauren S\u00e1nchez<\/a> and Jeff Bezos<\/a>‘ wedding may have been inspired by Prince William<\/a> and Kate Middleton<\/a>‘s nuptials.\n<\/p>\n The billionaire couple and royal couple seem to share the same taste in music. PEOPLE confirmed that Ellie Goulding<\/a> performed at S\u00e1nchez and Bezos’ wedding<\/a> reception on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, Italy, on June 27. They are an awesome couple and told me how much they enjoyed it. My band and I stayed at the reception all night, and it’s something I’ll treasure forever.”\n<\/p>\n She and her band then performed several more selections<\/a>, including her hit “Starry Eyed” and a cover version of “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers \u2014 another one of William and Kate\u2019s favorites, according to royal biographer Robert Jobson’s book Catherine, the Princess of Wales<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n Goulding reunited with the couple<\/a> in December 2022 when she performed at William’s Earthshot Prize Awards ceremony in Boston.\n<\/p>\n The British songstress replicated her live rendition of “Your Song” at S\u00e1nchez and Bezos’ star-studded wedding reception<\/a>.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n PEOPLE previously confirmed<\/a> that Andrea Bocelli’s son, Matteo Bocelli, sang at the ceremony.\n<\/p>\n S\u00e1nchez and Bezos’ wedding was previously compared to Princess Diana and Prince Charles’ extravagant wedding<\/a> on July 29, 1981, which was hailed as the “wedding of the century.”\u00a0\n<\/p>\n “I think it’s gonna be like a Princess Di thing,” S\u00e1nchez\u2019s older brother, Paul, predicted to TMZ<\/a> in March. “It’s gonna be an amazing event.
