{"id":230562,"date":"2025-07-01T23:46:10","date_gmt":"2025-07-01T23:46:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/230562\/"},"modified":"2025-07-01T23:46:10","modified_gmt":"2025-07-01T23:46:10","slug":"2-dorset-neighbourhoods-named-as-britains-most-expensive-seaside-spots-for-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/230562\/","title":{"rendered":"2 Dorset neighbourhoods named as Britain&#8217;s most expensive seaside spots for 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two Dorset neighbourhoods have been ranked as Britain&#8217;s most expensive seaside spots for 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The analysis comes from the property site Rightmove, and the number one ranked spot was the only place which had an average asking price\u00a0of more than \u00a31 million.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps unsurprisingly, Sandbanks was in this position, with its average asking price being \u00a31,282,565.<\/p>\n<p>Another BCP area in Canford Cliffs came in second place with an average asking price of\u00a0\u00a3974,635.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of how these prices fared year-on-year (YoY), Sandbanks were down by 3% and Canford Cliffs were down by 9%.<\/p>\n<p>It was also found that the average asking price for a home in Sandbanks is over three times more expensive than the national average (\u00a3378,240).<\/p>\n<p>Colleen Babcock, property expert at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rightmove.co.uk\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Rightmove;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Rightmove<\/a>, said:\u00a0\u201cSandbanks now stands out as the only seaside spot with an average asking price of over the million-pound mark.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;By contrast, lower-priced seaside spots like Saltcoats and Peterlee offer home-movers a sea view at a fraction of the price, with average asking prices over a quarter of a million pounds below the national average.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>What can you find in Sandbanks and Canford Cliffs?<\/p>\n<p>Sandbanks is\u00a0known for its direct access to golden sandy beaches and well-regarded eateries.<\/p>\n<p>This is an aspect that appeals to many, making it understandable why property prices are quite staggering for the area.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Canford Cliffs is a small and tranquil area, which has a few restaurants and shops in its vicinity.<\/p>\n<p>Most expensive UK cities to buy a house in<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, it has a Blue Flag beach on its doorstep, which\u00a0offers pleasant sands and beach huts to take in.<\/p>\n<p>The postcode in which these places are located, BH13, was also recently named as the most expensive in Dorset, generally by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/travel\/article-14801351\/expensive-postcodes-county-Britain-house-prices.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Daily Mail;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Daily Mail<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recommended reading:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Discussing its selling points,\u00a0James Benson of Five Star Cash Offer, said: &#8220;Sandbanks is incredibly expensive because it offers some of the most sought-after seaside properties in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The combination of private beaches, panoramic views of Poole Harbour, and its reputation as an elite location attracts the wealthiest buyers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It\u2019s also known for its high-end amenities, including luxury restaurants, yacht clubs, and leisure activities.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Two Dorset neighbourhoods have been ranked as Britain&#8217;s most expensive seaside spots for 2025.
