A TEENAGER was sexually assaulted as she sat on a train sparking a police hunt.<\/p>\n

The victim, 18, was attacked by a man who took the seat<\/a> beside her on the Glasgow<\/a> Central to Ayr service.<\/p>\n

He is described as white, slim, aged in his early 20s and with short dark hair<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A British Transport Police<\/a> spokesman said: \u201cOfficers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or has any information, to come forward and assist the investigation<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

The teen was targeted aboard the southbound service around 8pm on June 9.<\/p>\n

The fiend was wearing a yellow Columbia jacket, black joggers and was carrying a green duffle bag.<\/p>\n

Anyone with information is asked to contact British<\/a> Transport Police<\/a> by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 555 of 10 June.<\/p>\n
