England Women will face Wales in a one-off international fixture at The Lextan Gnoll in Neath on Saturday August 9.<\/p>\n
It will be England\u2019s first trip to Wales since 2022, with both teams preparing for the Rugby League World Cup in Australia in late 2026 \u2013 which will be Wales\u2019s first appearance in the tournament.<\/p>\n
The match is one of two that have been confirmed today by Wales Rugby League, who will also host Scotland at The Lextan Gnoll on Sunday August 3 \u2013 Scotland\u2019s first ever senior women\u2019s international.<\/p>\n
Tom Brindle, the Wales Head Coach, said: “These games are important for us as we continue our journey towards the World Cup. We\u2019ve always been up for testing ourselves and competing against the best in the world.<\/p>\n
“Building on last year, it\u2019s crucial that we play games every year, not just as a team, to keep progressing and growing as a group, but also to continue to inspire and help grow the game over the next decade in Wales.<\/p>\n
“Playing Scotland in their first international is an honour that we\u2019re all incredibly proud of. I\u2019ve been fortunate enough to be a part of several firsts in Women\u2019s Rugby League, and each one is a fantastic milestone that deserves to be celebrated. As the women\u2019s game continues to thrive and grow, we can\u2019t wait to see what the future holds.<\/p>\n
“And let\u2019s not forget about the opportunity to take on England again on our home turf. This is a fantastic chance for locals to witness some world class players and for us to learn from our last performance. We\u2019re excited to give it test ourselves again and see how we\u2019ve progressed.”<\/p>\n

Further details will be announced later today of the Women\u2019s Origin fixture that will precede Barrow\u2019s selection for Wales.<\/p>\n
