{"id":232030,"date":"2025-07-02T12:54:10","date_gmt":"2025-07-02T12:54:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/232030\/"},"modified":"2025-07-02T12:54:10","modified_gmt":"2025-07-02T12:54:10","slug":"tech-giant-cisco-to-launch-birmingham-hub","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/232030\/","title":{"rendered":"Tech giant Cisco to launch Birmingham hub"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tech giant Cisco is to launch a new hub in STEAMhouse, Birmingham City University\u2019s flagship \u00a370m innovation centre, as part of an investment into the West Midlands.<\/p>\n<p>The US-headquartered networking and security firm said the space has capacity for 60 employees and recognises the strength of the region as one of the UK\u2019s fastest-growing hubs for innovation and STEM talent.<\/p>\n<p>Situated in Birmingham\u2019s Knowledge Quarter and located within the West Midlands Investment Zone \u2013 a distinctive and inclusive city-centre innovation quarter focused on life sciences and digital technologies \u2013 the new Cisco office is expected to open this summer.<\/p>\n<p>In recent years, the West Midlands has emerged as a leading destination for foreign direct investment and business growth.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll technology companies should be represented regionally, and in these competitive times, it\u2019s vital to identify the best hubs for talent, innovation, and collaboration,\u201d said Adele Every, managing director, public sector of Cisco UK and Ireland.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe West Midlands has long demonstrated its strengths in these areas, and this new space reflects our confidence in the region\u2019s important role in driving future growth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is more than an office presence \u2013 it\u2019s a commitment to the future of the West Midlands.
