Kanye\u00a0West<\/a>\u2019s Australian visa has been cancelled over the release of antisemitic song Heil Hitler. <\/p>\n

The 48-year-old rapper \u2013 whose wife Bianca Censori<\/a> has family Down Under \u2013 had a \u2018lower-level\u2019 visa which has now been revoked after the May release. <\/p>\n

The country\u2019s Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke told ABC: \u2018He\u2019s been coming to Australia for a long time.<\/p>\n

\u2018He\u2019s got family here and he\u2019s made a lot of offensive comments that my officials looked at again.<\/p>\n

\u2018Once he released the Heil Hitler song, he no longer has a valid visa in Australia.<\/p>\n

\u2018It wasn\u2019t a visa for the purpose of concerts. It was a lower-level and the officials still looked at the law and said, you\u2019re going to have a song and promote that sort of Nazism, we don\u2019t need that in Australia.\u2019 <\/p>\n

It is not clear if West has been permanently banned from Australia, and Burke explained that visa applications are reassessed each time they are submitted. <\/p>\n

Asked whether a ban on West, also known as Ye, would sustain, Burke said: \u2018I think that what\u2019s not sustainable is to import hatred\u2026 We have enough problems in this country already without deliberately importing bigotry.\u2019 <\/p>\n

In 2023 Australia also considered blocking West, when the education minister Jason Clare condemned his \u2018awful\u2019 comments about the Holocaust.<\/p>\n

West\u2019s song Heil Hitler, which comes as part of his controversial new album WW3, is blocked on most streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube. <\/p>\n

The Stronger rapper has for years now come under fire<\/a> over his controversial behaviour and statements. <\/p>\n

Earlier this year this included praising Adolf Hitler and selling t-shirts emblazoned with a Swastika.<\/p>\n

However, following the release of Heil Hitler in May, West asked for forgiveness and called for peace.<\/p>\n

He wrote in a series of posts on X: \u201cI am done with antisemitism. I love all people. God forgive me for the pain I\u2019ve caused. I forgive those who have caused me pain. Thank you God. The earth itself is in Gods Kingdom. GOD CALLS FOR PEACE. Share peace. Share love.\u2019 <\/p>\n

The highly controversial rapper\u00a0claimed his outlook changed after he enjoyed a video call with his and ex-wife Kim Kardashian\u2019s four children, North, 11, Saint, nine, Chicago, seven, and six-year-old Psalm.<\/p>\n

He wrote: \u2018I simply got a FaceTime from my kids and I wanna save the world again.\u2019<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time\u00a0Kanye\u00a0has seemingly had a change of heart as in February, he declared he was \u2018not a Nazi\u2019 following \u2018further reflection\u2019.<\/p>\n

Taking to X, he wrote: \u2018After further reflection I\u2019ve come to the realization that I\u2019m not a Nazi.\u2019 <\/p>\n
