\n Kate Middleton came to the RHS Wellbeing Garden at Colchester Hospital to reflect on the importance of the centres “holistic” approach to supporting patients.\n<\/p>\n
\n The princess, who was diagnosed with cancer in March last year, spoke with those at the centre and\u00a0described\u00a0her recovery journey as\u00a0a “rollercoaster”.\n<\/p>\n

\n Following her visit to the centre, the princess\u00a0planted several coral-pink Catherine\u2019s Rose plants in the hospital\u2019s Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Wellbeing Garden.\n<\/p>\n
\n Planting – The Princess of Wales in action (Image: Stefan Rousseau) The RHS named the flower after Kate to raise awareness of the role that spending time outdoors plays in supporting people\u2019s mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing.\n<\/p>\n
\n During her discussion with a group of the centre’s users she said: \u201cIt\u2019s life changing for anyone, through first diagnosis or post-treatment.\n<\/p>\n
