Arindel homebred Evolution<\/a> graduates into stakes company for her third start Friday when the Florida-bred filly goes in the $150,000 Schuylerville<\/a> at Saratoga Race Course. Trained by Carlos David<\/a>, Evolution will face five other 2-year-old fillies in the six-furlong contest.<\/p>\n Evolution made her first start against maiden special weight fillies going four-and-a-half furlongs<\/a> at Keeneland on April 16, finishing second to the Wesley Ward<\/a>-trained Satisfied Mind. Trainer Carlos David then returned her to South Florida where she rebounded strong to win a maiden special weight for fillies going five furlongs<\/a> at Gulfstream Park on May 15, winning by nearly three lengths while leading at every point of call.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n An earner of $61,457 in her two races, Evolution is by Arindel\u2019s stallion Brethren<\/a> out of stakes-placed Sweet Khaleesi<\/a>, by Maimonides. Sweet Khaleesi has four winners from four starters, all by Brethren, including stakes-placed Mist<\/a>, who was second to Welcome Back in the $100,000 FTBOA Desert Vixen in 2023<\/a>.<\/p>\n Evolution will be ridden for the first time by Luis Saez<\/a> and will break from post one.<\/p>\n She will try to join eight other Florida-bred winners of the Schuylerville including Catherinethegreat<\/a> in 2018, Jardin<\/a> (2008), How About Now<\/a> (1996), Turnback the Alarm<\/a> (1991), Meadow Star<\/a> (1990), Our Dancing Girl<\/a> (1974), Laughing Bridge<\/a> (1974) and Idealistic<\/a> (1967).<\/p>\n Evolution is one of two winners entered along with the Mark Casse-trained My Sweetheart, a homebred daughter of Flameaway for Debbie M. Oxley.<\/p>\n My Sweetheart switches to the main track after winning her debut against maiden special weight fillies going five furlongs on the turf at Churchill Downs on May 22.
