This includes a forthcoming consultation on new standards for providers of social work education, along with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.communitycare.co.uk\/2024\/11\/01\/social-work-england-sets-out-expectations-of-graduates-joining-profession\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">implementation of guidance setting out expectations of new graduates\u2019 knowledge and skills.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>The fitness to practise system, including how Social Work England can improve the timeliness of case progression and address the current high levels of delay, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.communitycare.co.uk\/2025\/05\/29\/social-work-england-gets-25-budget-boost-to-tackle-fitness-to-practise-backlogs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">for which it has been given more money from the Department for Education.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.communitycare.co.uk\/2025\/04\/02\/social-work-england-no-checks-on-cpd-sample-following-registration-renewal-for-second-year-running\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">consultation on the future of continuing professional development, due in 2026<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The regulator\u2019s executive director of professional practice and external engagement, Sarah Blackmore, said: \u201cWe encourage people to attend one of our regional events to tell us what they want for the social work profession and share their ideas and insight on the challenges.
