Kate Middleton has opened up about her \u2018really difficult\u2019 cancer treatment during a highly personal outing to the Royal Horticultural Society\u2019s Wellbeing Garden at Colchester Hospital today. The Princess of Wales, who spent last year going through chemotherapy, gave a rare insight into how difficult it had been to \u2018put on a brave face\u2019 in front of her children and the public, despite being \u2018not able to function normally\u2019.<\/p>\n
Catherine admitted that \u2018finding a new normal\u2019 had been a \u2018rollercoaster\u2019 over the past months. \u2018You\u2019re not able to function normally at home as you once used to,’ she told patients and staff at the hospital, before adding how valuable it was to have supportive spaces to find solace, per MailOnline<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u2018You put on a sort of brave face, stoicism through treatment,\u2019 Kate explained. When the treatment is finished, she elaborated, \u2018it\u2019s like: \u201cI can crack on, get back to normal,\u201d but actually the phase afterwards is really, really difficult.\u2019<\/p>\n It is an impressively candid revelation from the Princess of Wales, who has opened up before about the difficulties that come with a cancer diagnosis.
