The ECHO does not currently know the nature of the ongoing incident but has approached the fire service and Merseyside Police for comment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Merseyrail first posted on social media about the ongoing incident at around 10.15pm today, Wednesday, July 2. An image sent to the ECHO shows several police and fire vehicles on the road and a cordon close to the entrance to Sandhills train station.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Merseyrail added: &#8220;A rail replacement bus service is currently running between Moorfields and Hall Road in both directions. Ticket acceptance is now in place on all relevant bus routes with Stagecoach and Arriva bus services.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">We&#8217;ll be bringing you the very latest updates, pictures and video on this breaking news story.
