A woman has been charged in connection<\/a> with the death of a man, after his body was found at a flat in Glasgow.<\/p>\n The 35-year-old woman was charged after Johnson Ewere, 40, was found dead at a property on Charles Street, in the Royston<\/a> area, at around 10.25pm on Sunday, June 29.<\/p>\n She is due to appear at Glasgow<\/a> Sheriff Court on July 3.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for the force said: “A 35-year-old woman arrested in connection with the death of a 40-year-old man in Glasgow<\/a> has now been charged.<\/p>\n “Around 10.25pm on Sunday<\/a>, 29 June, 2025, officers were called to a property in the Charles Street area.<\/p>\n “Emergency services attended<\/a> and the body of a 40-year-old man was discovered. He has been named as Johnson Ewere.<\/p>\n ‘The woman is due to appear at Glasgow<\/a> Sheriff Court on Thursday, 3 July, 2025.”<\/p>\n Social media profiles state that Johnson was originally<\/a> from Benin City in Nigeria and known affectionately by pals in Glasgow as ‘ice cream boy’.<\/p>\n Following the sad news, heartfelt tributes have flooded<\/a> in over the shock death. Jeremiah Ukpoma said: “RIP bro. Too sad<\/a> to say this.” Andrew Chan wrote: “So I won’t see u again…ice cream boy.”<\/p>\n Isaac Pascello added: “So sad, rest on bro.” Peter Osagiede said<\/a>: “RIP. She said: \u201cOur thoughts remain with the family and friends of Johnson at this difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n Shocked residents watched as police erected<\/a> a cordon around the block of flats in the north-east of the city after the horror incident.<\/p>\n A large number of officers were seen in the area as cops probed the death in the high rise. Several marked vehicles were seen parked up with an area beside the block of flats cordoned<\/a> off.<\/p>\n Those who live in the area were then left shaken as news emerged of the death<\/a>.<\/p>\n Lisa Marie Elliot said: “This is absolutely heartbreaking<\/a> what a horrible country we live in.
