Patrick Bamford could be the next long-serving Leeds United player to leave Elland Road this summer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leeds<\/a> have three new signings through the doors of Elland Road already with their return to the Premier League on the horizon, and Daniel Farke<\/a> will hope for several additions before their opener on 18 August.<\/p>\n

Everton<\/a> are the Peacocks\u2019 first opponents back in the top-flight after two seasons away in a potentially immediate reunion with Leeds loanee Jack Harrison<\/a>, but the makeup of Farke\u2019s squad is still up in the air.<\/p>\n

Sebastiaan Bornauw\u2019s arrival at Elland Road on 1 July<\/a> came amid a plethora of departures the other way, and several of Leeds\u2019 biggest names could yet leave the club as the reshaping of Farke\u2019s team continues.<\/p>\n

Firpo headlined a trio of exits on Tuesday after his four-year contract at Elland Road expired<\/a>, and the left-back\u2019s departure has led to an outpour of emotion and tributes given his popularity with Leeds fans.<\/p>\n

Firpo\u2019s exit leaves Bamford<\/a> as one of just five players who featured for United under Marcelo Bielsa and became a double promotion winner last season, but uncertainty lingers over his long-term Leeds future.<\/p>\n

Bamford faces added competition in Farke\u2019s frontline after Lukas Nmecha\u2019s arrival from Wolfsburg<\/a>, but the striker showcased his pre-season preparations in an Instagram video posted on Tuesday (1 July).<\/p>\n

The 31-year-old\u2019s post was liked by Firpo<\/a> among others and included a montage of his off-season training at Leeds Beckett University, as well as the caption of a fully charged battery emoji.<\/p>\n

Leeds transfer plans to leave Bamford at the exit door<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bamford may have done his best to get a head-start on his Leeds team-mates prior to their pre-season training at Thorp Arch, but he\u2019s still set to enter the new campaign as fourth-choice in the pecking order.<\/p>\n

Joel Piroe<\/a> was Leeds and the Championship\u2019s top scorer last term with Bamford limited to 17 substitute appearances and zero goals, and the latter\u2019s decline has been made crystal clear Leeds\u2019 transfer policy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Owners 49ers Enterprises have already made approaches for Nikola Krstovic and Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz<\/a>, and with centre-forward being a priority position for Leeds this summer<\/a>, the writing is on the wall for Bamford\u2019s prospects next season.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
