Lauren S\u00e1nchez Bezos and Jeff Bezos\u2019<\/a> lavish three-day wedding celebration shared a surprising connection to the royal nuptials of Prince William and Kate Middleton.<\/p>\n On June 27, Ellie Goulding sang at the billionaire and the former entertainment reporter\u2019s wedding reception on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, Italy, according to People magazine<\/a>. The British singer previously gave a performance at William and Kate\u2019s second wedding reception after they tied the knot April 29, 2011, in London.\u00a0<\/p>\n The Prince and Princess of Wales shared their first dance while Goulding sang her cover of Elton John\u2019s 1971 hit \u201cYour Song.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n Goulding also performed \u201cYour Song\u201d at Bezos and S\u00e1nchez\u2019s star-studded bash Friday. Famed opera singer Andrea Bocelli\u2019s son, Matteo Bocelli, sang a cover of Elvis Presley\u2019s \u201cCan\u2019t Help Falling in Love\u201d as the newlyweds\u2019 first dance song.\u00a0<\/p>\n JEFF BEZOS, LAUREN S\u00c1NCHEZ CELEBRITY WEDDING GUESTS TAKE VENICE BY STORM<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n William and Kate\u2019s first wedding reception was a lunchtime affair thrown by the late Queen Elizabeth II<\/a> while King Charles hosted the pair\u2019s second, more intimate wedding reception in the Throne Room at Buckingham Palace.<\/p>\n Elton John, a close friend of William\u2019s mother, the late Princess Diana, attended the second reception with David and Victoria Beckham.\u00a0<\/p>\n While Goulding has yet to speak publicly about her performance during the Bezos-S\u00e1nchez wedding festivities, she previously opened up about singing for William and Kate.\u00a0<\/p>\n During a 2012 interview with the Daily Mail<\/a>, Goulding recalled meeting William before the royal nuptials and learned that they were fans of her music.\u00a0<\/p>\n However, the two-time Grammy nominee<\/a> shared she was shocked when she received an offer to perform for the couple on their wedding day.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI knew they liked my songs, but I didn\u2019t walk away from meeting William thinking it might lead to a gig at Buckingham Palace,\u201d she recalled.<\/p>\n \u201cThen I got a phone call suggesting there might be something in the offing, but I didn\u2019t tell anyone for a long time,\u201d Goulding continued.<\/p>\n LIKE WHAT YOU\u2019RE READING?
