The writers, Alma Economics will be hosting a webinar on 8 July at 2pm which will cover the objectives, methodology and outputs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/us02web.zoom.us\/webinar\/register\/WN_OzLkMtbmSEiZ1-tSzH7lnQ#\/registration\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"The Employer Pays Principle Feasibility Study webinar on zoom\" class=\"btn btn-info\" data-anchor=\"#\/registration\">Register for the webinar<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The webinar is open to all interested parties.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>EPP study explained<\/p>\n<p>Commissioned in November last year, the NFU has been working to ensure that the challenges facing the sector are fully understood and has a seat on the project advisory group.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The feasibility study follows the previous government\u2019s\u00a0response to the Shropshire\u00a0Review of labour shortages in the UK food\u00a0supply chain, in May, which included a commitment to \u2018investigate the use of the\u00a0EPP for the seasonal worker visa route\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The issue was then pushed to the\u00a0forefront of growers\u2019 minds when,\u00a0without consultation or impact\u00a0assessment, assurance organisation\u00a0Sedex unveiled its \u2018version seven\u2019 SMETA\u00a0employee welfare audit, a supply chain\u00a0requirement for many fresh produce\u00a0businesses.
