Traffic has been diverted after a collision involving two vehicles on Manchester Road at the junction with Dumers Lane. Images from the scene show a small Toyota which had been badly damaged, as well as a minibus with a wheel hanging off.<\/p>\n

Police blocked off the scene with a cordon as the vehicles were recovered from the road. An eyewitness also reported seeing an ambulance leaving the scene with blue lights on.<\/p>\n

The witness went on to describe “traffic chaos” at the scene as cars were diverted around the collision.<\/p>\n

Police and ambulances both rushed to the scene, with a police van seen blocking off the road as emergency workers attended.<\/p>\n

Officers also manually diverted traffic in the aftermath of the collision, which drew several people to watch as emergency services got to work.<\/p>\n

The precise nature and severity of what has happened is not clear at this point.<\/p>\n

A minibus was towed away from the scene, and appeared to have a wheel hanging off.<\/p>\n
