Leeds United are still considering whether to make a move for Norwich City forward Josh Sargent to add to their attacking depth.<\/strong><\/p>\n That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider<\/strong> that Daniel Farke is the driving force behind interest in the 25-year-old.<\/p>\n Football Insider<\/strong> revealed in March that Leeds want to sign somebody better than Sargent<\/a>, with ambitious targets on their list at Elland Road.<\/p>\n The Elland Road club saw an offer worth \u00a332million turned down by Fulham for Rodrigo Muniz and are considering returning with a fresh offer for the Brazilian.<\/p>\n However, Football Insider<\/strong> revealed on 23 June that Fulham are confident of pricing Leeds out<\/a> of a move for Muniz as they are determined to keep their star man.<\/p>\n As a result, the U.S.A international Sargent remains firmly on their radar and interest elsewhere could tempt them to make a move to beat competition to his signature.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n MORE FOOTBALL INSIDER STORIES<\/p>\n Leeds eye Josh Sargent deal after Bamford and Piroe decisions<\/strong><\/p>\n Football Insider<\/strong>\u00a0revealed in April that\u00a0Leeds want to sign a new striker<\/a>\u00a0as a priority this summer amid concerns about Patrick Bamford and Joel Piroe.<\/p>\n Brown, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, explained that Sargent fits what Farke is looking for up front despite not being the club\u2019s top target.<\/p>\n \u201cLeeds have been having a look at Josh Sargent,\u201d he told Football Insider.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cThey have a few doubts about him and whether he could make the step up to the Premier League, but the manager likes him and he\u2019s the one driving the interest.<\/p>\n \u201cThey would rather take a chance on somebody who the manager knows and who can do the things he\u2019s looking for, than somebody who might not.<\/p>\n \u201cSargent is strong, quick, and he\u2019s got a good finish on him.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s improved his reputation over the last season and has been impressive for Norwich.<\/p>\n \u201cLeeds have been looking at a few strikers and some more ambitious deals than Sargent.<\/p>\n \u201cBut those types of deals also cost a lot of money, while he might be a bit of a cheaper and more gettable option for them.<\/p>\n \u201cHe would bring something they haven\u2019t got at the moment and they want to improve up front.<\/p>\n \u201cThey\u2019re not the only ones interested, so if they want him they might have to move quickly.<\/p>\n \u201cSometimes that interest from other clubs can force people into making a move even if they weren\u2019t quite certain about it before, so we\u2019ll see.\u201d<\/p>\n Alongside their long-standing interest in Sargent, Leeds have also been linked with a move to sign a fellow U.S.A international in Juventus star Timothy Weah.<\/p>\n However, Brown told Football Insider<\/strong> on 30 June that Leeds could drop their interest in Weah<\/a> as they are not convinced the 25-year-old would be a difference-maker.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, new concerns have emerged about the player\u2019s wage demands after Nottingham Forest could not reach an agreement.<\/p>\n Leeds had emerged alongside Everton and Bournemouth<\/a>\u00a0as possible alternatives following his decision to snub Forest, as they continue to plan for a busy
