Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney will no doubt be aware of Birmingham City\u2019s transfer business, and the Hollywood pair could copy the Blues to Wrexham\u2019s advantage.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wrexham have confirmed two signings<\/a> so far ahead of the 2025\/26 Championship season.<\/p>\n

Through the doors already at the Racecourse Ground is Ryan Hardie from Plymouth Argyle<\/a>, whilst Danny Ward has also returned to Wrexham<\/a> as Phil Parkinson\u2019s No.2 shot-stopper.<\/p>\n

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney<\/a> are not showing any signs of slowing down, though, with Wrexham set to bring in several players this summer, with the Red Dragons particularly sounding out experienced options to add to the ranks.<\/p>\n

There has been little success with Wrexham\u2019s ambitious links, whilst fierce foes Birmingham City have come on leaps and bounds this summer, something that should spark Reynolds and McElhenney to take a leaf out of Tom Brady\u2019s book.<\/p>\n

This summer, Birmingham City have signed James Beadle on loan from Premier League side Brighton. The man in-between the sticks has arrived at St Andrews after impressing in the U21 Euros for the competition-winning England side.<\/p>\n

There is plenty of promise in Beadle, as well as many others in the England U21 set-up, which should spark the realisation that Wrexham should linger around the players who could be available in the squad.<\/p>\n

Whilst the England U21 side is oozing with Premier League talent, a more realistic signing that Wrexham could make from that team is Samuel Iling-Junior from Aston Villa.<\/p>\n

The 21-year-old played the 2024\/25 season in the Championship with Michael Carrick\u2019s Middlesbrough, where he was often utilised as a wing-back, or occasionally, slightly further forward.<\/p>\n

Under Phil Parkinson, Wrexham have often used wing-backs to prioritise adding depth to attacks, whilst also having that extra assurance of numbers when defending.<\/p>\n

This makes Samuel Iling-Junior the perfect signing for Wrexham, who, in a loan deal, would offer Championship experience, whilst also being a brilliant option at wing-back, all whilst being a small financial outlay for both Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.<\/p>\n

Coming off the back of a Euro-winning campaign as well, the youngster will be full of promise and confidence, but it wouldn\u2019t be a surprise to see him and Aston Villa bombarded with interest to attain his services.<\/p>\n
