Asked how much it would cost someone to attach their name to the famous space at London\u2019s Tate Modern, Roland Rudd said: \u201cA minimum of \u00a350m.\u201d He suggested that such a deal could feed into the institution\u2019s new <a class=\"transition-all duration-default shadow-internalLink hover:text-red-900\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theartnewspaper.com\/2025\/06\/26\/tate-launches-ambitious-endowment-fund-aim-raising-\u00a3150m-2030\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">endowment fund<\/a> (Tate Future Fund), which was launched last week. According to the Tate\u2019s director Maria Balshaw the aim for the fund, which is inspired by a model pioneered by US museums, is to reach \u00a3150m by 2030.<\/p>\n<p class=\"pt-dp-p font-text-light font-light text-lg leading-normal tracking-wide mb-base last:mb-0\" itemprop=\"text\">Asked to confirm the \u00a350m figure, a Tate spokesperson says: \u201cThat comment was speaking in hypothetical terms. Tate launched its Future Fund last week and we are just at the start of the fundraising campaign.\u201d The Tate declined to say whether the Turbine Hall is part of the institution\u2019s portfolio of possible sponsorships or confirm an actual naming fee.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"pt-dp-p font-text-light font-light text-lg leading-normal tracking-wide mb-base last:mb-0\" itemprop=\"text\">Rudd told The Telegraph: \u201cThe whole thing about the Future Fund is to enable us to ensure we have one of the greatest collections of British modern and contemporary art, and some of the greatest curators, because we are in a global marketplace. We have over 50 curators now and we want to add to that number.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"pt-dp-p font-text-light font-light text-lg leading-normal tracking-wide mb-base last:mb-0\" itemprop=\"text\">\u201cIf people want to endow curators or endow directors, all of this is available.
