\n Transport for Wales (TfW) is inviting the public to share their views on proposed changes under the scheme, which forms part of a wider effort to improve bus services across Wales.\n<\/p>\n
\n The changes are being proposed as part of the Welsh Government\u2019s bus reform bill, which is currently under consideration in the Senedd.\n<\/p>\n
\n Lee Robinson, executive director for regional transport and integration at TfW, said: “Bus franchising in Wales will allow us to shape an improved bus network that really works for people, and we’re doing this in partnership with local authorities and bus operators.\n<\/p>\n
\n “We are now at the start and South West Wales will be the first region to see changes in 2027.\n<\/p>\n
\n “It\u2019s fundamental that we involve the public and listen to their feedback on our proposed improvements.\n<\/p>\n
\n “We\u2019d encourage people to take part in the online survey or attend the organised events.”\n<\/p>\n
\n TfW and local authorities in South West Wales are developing a Proposed Base Network, outlining possible routes and service frequencies for 2027.\n<\/p>\n
\n The changes will build on the current network and focus on using existing resources to deliver improvements.\n<\/p>\n
\n The new model will be introduced through a franchising approach, giving TfW and local authorities greater control over service planning and delivery.\n<\/p>\n
\n The public can share their views through an online survey at haveyoursay.tfw.wales\/bus-reform.\n<\/p>\n
\n In-person engagement events are also being organised across the region.\n<\/p>\n
\n The feedback gathered will help shape the final network design and ensure that services meet the needs of communities.\n<\/p>\n
