Jake Paul\u2019s callouts of boxing stars from lightweight to heavyweight have drawn the ire of his old rival Tyson Fury.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Back in 2023, Paul took on Tyson\u2019s younger brother Tommy Fury<\/a> to whom he lost a split decision<\/a> in his sole defeat to date. Since then a rematch has been on the cards but it seems that a deal has been hard to reach for the Brit, who has fought just twice in the years after the fight.<\/p>\n

The feud has maintained between the Pauls and the Furys, even though Tommy\u2019s dad John Fury<\/a> and even Tyson himself have been relatively complimentary of Jake. However, after a series of callouts from the social media star, the elder Fury has taken aim at his old family rival.<\/p>\n

Tyson Fury slams Jake Paul for bizarre set of callouts<\/p>\n

Following his win on Saturday night over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr<\/a>, Jake Paul <\/a>took to the microphone and called out five names including two cruiserweight world champions. One pick was lightweight star Gervonta Davis, and in the same breath he was going for former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

This baffled Tyson Fury, who asked media at the IBA Pro Show: \u201cHow could you call out Anthony Joshua and Gervonta Davis? It\u2019s like f\u2014ing that end of the scale and this end of the scale! I\u2019m not sure how that works.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paul is known for fighting much smaller fighters, but 5\u20195\u2033 Davis who last weighed in under 134lb would be a different level. In the same speech, however, he was calling to fight 6\u20196\u2033 heavyweight Joshua who most recently tipped the scales over 252lb.<\/p>\n

Jake Paul\u2019s response to private Tyson Fury text revealed<\/p>\n

During the same interview, Fury claimed that he had taken matters into his own hands in order to make the rematch happen for his brother. He claims to have texted Paul privately, demanding that the bout happen<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hoped they would,\u201d he told Seconds Out of a potential rematch. \u201cI\u2019ve even texted Jake Paul to say \u2018what\u2019s going on do you want to get it on with Tommy and make the fight happen. I just think there\u2019s a lot of egos involved in boxing.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a lot of \u2018he said this, she said that, I want this, I want that\u2019. When things like that happen, it\u2019s difficult to make fights as you\u2019ve seen over the years.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paul\u2019s business partner and Most Valuable Promotions co-founder Nakisa Bidarian has confirmed that Fury\u2019s story is true. But he says that Paul had a quick response, tweeting: \u201cI can confirm he did text Jake and say you and Tommy need the rematch. <\/p>\n
