Taskmaster<\/a> has crowned its champion for the 19th season, which was dubbed “one of the best” in the show’s history. <\/p>\n

Thursday’s (3 July) episode, titled ‘The Clever Side’, saw co-hosts Greg Davies and Alex Horne<\/a> return for one last time as Fatiha El-Ghorri, Jason Mantzoukas<\/a>, Mathew Baynton, Rosie Ramsey<\/a> and Stevie Martin competed for the highly coveted honour. <\/p>\n

After 10 episodes of laughs and gaffes, Baynton<\/strong> was confirmed as the winner of the season, with the actor and comedian finishing 15 points ahead of closest rival Martin. Mantzoukas finished in third place, with Ramsey and El-Ghorri in fourth and fifth respectively. <\/p>\n

While Baynton<\/a> celebrated his triumph, fans of the series dubbed the latest season as one of the finest in the show’s history, with one viewer writing on X<\/a>: “Best cast in a while. I wish we could have 10 more episodes. #taskmaster”<\/p>\n

“How is it the #taskmaster final already? Been one of the best series, right up there with series 5 with Bob Mortimer and Aisling Bea,” wrote one other user<\/a>, with another adding<\/a>: “No, I don’t want it to end #Taskmaster”<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m going to miss them all SO much I\u2019d like to personally commission a show where they all travel around the world together (I can\u2019t afford that and I have no authority but it would be great) #taskmaster” wrote another viewer<\/a> of the cast.<\/p>\n

“Sad that this series of #Taskmaster is over – it’s been one of my absolute favourites. Mat Baynton & Jason Mantzoukas in particular,” wrote one fan<\/a>, while another noted<\/a>: “Another excellent #Taskmaster series completed\u2026 already looking forward to the next series\u2026”<\/p>\n

“Absolutely brilliant series of #Taskmaster with a perfect winner and great final standings overall,” wrote one viewer<\/a> as they praised Baynton, with another adding<\/a>: “Series 19 has been incredible, what a cast #taskmaster”<\/p>\n

As per tradition, the line-up for the follow-up season were announced at the end of the episode, with Davies and Horne assembling a crew of “brilliant and eclectic comedy minds” for the series’ 20th season<\/a>.<\/p>\n
