While the new owner would still have to convince other shareholders and suppliers that they would not be hurt by future sanctions, it\u2019s largely \u201ca political matter,\u201d Fedke added.<\/p>\n<p>The story is similar for Nord Stream. European backers of the pipelines, which lie shattered deep under the Baltic Sea, have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/energy\/gazproms-grandeur-fades-europe-abandons-russian-gas-2025-03-13\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">demanded that Russia\u2019s Gazprom<\/a> iron out its legal disputes before revival talk seriously begins. Germany\u2019s regulator must also approve the flow of Moscow\u2019s gas.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAssuming there\u2019s political will,\u201d said Stern, the gas expert, that signoff can be done overnight, he said.
