The Friday summit \u201cshows the importance Europe attaches to stand by Moldova\u2019s side in these difficult times and to support it on its path to EU membership,\u201d Kos added.<\/p>\n<p>According to Siegfried Mure\u0219an, a Romanian MEP who leads the European Parliament\u2019s delegation to Moldova, Chi\u0219in\u0103u faces fewer practical challenges to joining the EU than Kyiv.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a smaller country that\u2019s easier to integrate,\u201d he said, \u201cbut the EU perspective needs to be made credible to all EU candidate countries.
