The platform also incorporates Ballard’s FCmove®-HD+ 100kW fuel cell, a battery with a nominal capacity of 500kWh and a maximum power output of 300kW, two 13.5kg hydrogen storage racks at 200 bars, and two 150kW ultra-fast chargers.

Zoilo Rios, General Manager, Zoilo Rios Group, said:

This is a significant step forward for electric mobility. Working with a trusted and expert partner ecosystem has been invaluable along the three-year project, tackling the technical challenges encountered and turning our starting model into a reality today is very rewarding.

“ECOASIS works purely with clean, renewable energy that doesn’t pollute and can be set up anywhere, as it doesn’t need an electrical grid. This presents considerable potential, and we are excited to see where this project goes next.”

Ballard’s FCmove®-HD+ module offers a compact, fully integrated, robust fuel cell solution with low total lifecycle cost.

With nine generations of product development and millions of kilometers of on-road experience, Ballard’s application is purpose built for zero-emission heavy-duty applications, and its high performance, simplified system integration and reliability in extreme conditions makes the proven and flexible fuel cell a viable solution for the pioneering ECOASIS program.

This latest EV charging project follows a larger scale installation in Germany where Ballard commissioned a 1MW fuel cell system for EV charging of a distribution center’s 80 electric vans that are primarily used for last-mile deliveries.

The presentation of ECOASIS was attended by the Director General of Energy and Mines of the Government of Aragon; the Minister of Environment and Mobility of the Zaragoza City Council; the President of the Association of Service Stations of Aragon (AESAR); the President of the Energy Cluster of Aragon (CLENAR); and representatives from the three local project partners.

The ECOASIS project is supported by Moves Proyectos Singulares II (the program for unique electric mobility) within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan – led by the European Union-NextGeneration scheme.

READ the latest news shaping the hydrogen market at Hydrogen Central

Ballard powers new decarbonized electric vehicle infrastructure in Spain, source

Ballard powers new decarbonized electric vehicle infrastructure in Spain A pioneering, ultra-fast charging system for electric vehicles powered…

[5312
13659,2000,299,104
0":"post-236505","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-spain","8":"tag-business-development","9":"tag-eu","10":"tag-europe","11":"tag-spain
["GET
