Building supervisor Paul Corrigan passed away after the incident at St Mary\u2019s Primary School near Killyclogher shortly before 9am on Thursday.<\/p>\n

It is understood the incident involved landscaping machinery. <\/p>\n

The Education Authority (EA) said: \u201cWe are shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of one of our colleagues, Paul Corrigan, following a serious incident at St Mary\u2019s Primary School in Killyclogher this morning.<\/p>\n

\u201cPaul was a highly valued and dedicated member of our facilities management service for over 30 years, working as a building supervisor and member of the grounds maintenance team.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was a much loved and respected member of staff within the Education Authority, and we wish to extend our deepest sympathies to Paul\u2019s family, friends and colleagues at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n

The local Irish National Foresters branch shared an image of Mr Corrigan and a tribute.<\/p>\n

It said: \u201cThe committee and members of Branch Bishop Kelly, Omagh express sincere condolences to the family of esteemed committee member and friend Bro. Paul Corrigan following his untimely, sudden, death this morning.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur thoughts and prayers are with wife Izzy, daughter Kaylah and his immediate and extended family and many, many friends at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Many people commented to share their shock and sadness at the tragedy.<\/p>\n

One man said: \u201cTrue gentleman, always a pleasure to meet and have a laugh with.\u201d<\/p>\n

Police are investigating after the sudden death of a man in what is believed to be a tragic workplace accident at Killyclogher Primary School , Omagh, County Tyrone.<\/p>\n

PSNI officers and paramedics from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) responded to the incident this morning. <\/p>\n

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) also attended. Three fire appliances, including a specialist rescue team responded. <\/p>\n

A NIAS spokesperson said they received a call at 8.54am following reports of an incident. <\/p>\n

“NIAS despatched one emergency ambulance crew and the charity Air Ambulance with HEMS on board were also tasked to the incident,\u201d they added. <\/p>\n

\u201cNo one was taken from the scene.” <\/p>\n
