Everton have found themselves in a constant battle with some of their Premier League rivals this summer for signings. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Chelsea beat Everton to Liam Delap<\/a> before the window even opened, in what was a clear indication as to how the market was set to play out. <\/p>\n

Currently, Everton<\/a> have only secured one signing this summer in retaining Carlos Alcaraz on a permanent deal. <\/p>\n

David Moyes<\/a> will be very keen to see that change as he returns to Finch Farm for pre-season to get underway on Friday morning.<\/p>\n

Although squad additions are needed across the pitch, Everton are focusing on quality attacking signings<\/a> this summer. <\/p>\n

Thierno Barry is close to joining Everton<\/a>, but Moyes is now looking at adding further quality and Timothy Weah<\/a> is a player on the radar. <\/p>\n

In recent weeks, Weah has snubbed a move to Nottingham Forest<\/a> despite the two clubs reaching an agreement for the American.<\/p>\n

Everton hold an interest in Weah<\/a>, but so do a number of other Premier League clubs including Leeds United.<\/p>\n

It has been the story of Everton\u2019s summer as some of their Premier League rivals have pushed them in the race for signings. <\/p>\n

Everton hope their new stadium will attract players<\/a> of a higher calibre, given the state-of-the-art ground they could soon play football in. <\/p>\n

The Hill Dickinson Stadium is going to be a game-changer for Everton, with increased revenue streams offering greater financial freedom in the market. <\/p>\n

However, a lot of work needs to be done this summer by Angus Kinnear and Weah would certainly add some quality and experience on the wing for the Toffees. <\/p>\n

There is something, though, that could really tempt Weah to Merseyside. <\/p>\n

Timothy Weah\u2019s favourite number now available at Everton<\/p>\n

Everton have seen a number of players depart Finch Farm over recent weeks, and Armando Broja has returned to Chelsea<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The Albania international wore the number 22, and that is now a number available for a new signing to claim this summer.<\/p>\n

Previously speaking in a press conference, Weah shared his reasoning behind 22 being his favourite number. <\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cNumber 22 has an old story. It\u2019s my birthday, I was born on February 22,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd it\u2019s also the first number my mum put on me and I promised myself I would always wear it in all clubs.\u201d<\/p>\n
