The quote cut like a knife through the tension of an already heated week: “The problem is that Prince Harry<\/a> is neither bright nor strong… and Meghan<\/a> is both.”<\/p>\n

This sizzling statement on “Megxit” came in just 15 biting words<\/a>, ascribed to one of Queen Elizabeth II’s trusted friends<\/a>, Lady Elizabeth Anson, who shared a close bond with the monarch for many years, reports the Express<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lady Anson, while speaking to esteemed royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith in 2018-19, provided a stark glimpse into the thoughts of the queen’s innermost confidants regarding Harry and Meghan as a pair. She was quoted as saying, “We hope, but don’t quite think, that (Meghan) is in love… we think she engineered it all.”<\/p>\n

She alleged that the queen feared Harry was “besotted and weak” and possibly under the sway of his then-fiance\u0301e.<\/p>\n

In a candid moment, Lady Anson added, “I don’t trust Meghan an inch… Meghan could turn into nothing but trouble.”<\/p>\n

So far, there has been no official response from Buckingham Palace or the Sussexes themselves regarding the comments, which surfaced this week in Sally\u2019s Royal Extra feature on Substack. However, their silence seems to speak volumes.<\/p>\n
