Meghan Markle<\/a>\u00a0is celebrating the Fourth of July.\n<\/p>\n The Duchess of Sussex, 43, shared a glimpse at her Independence Day festivities in a new post on her Instagram page. Meghan lives in California with Prince Harry<\/a>, 40, and their two children: son\u00a0Prince Archie<\/a>, 6, and daughter\u00a0Princess Lilibet<\/a>, 4.\n<\/p>\n This year, Meghan gave fans a peek inside her holiday at home, posting a video on her As Ever<\/a> Instagram account.\n<\/p>\n In the short clip, she is seen assembling a festive charcuterie board, carefully arranging an array of fruits, breads and cheeses to resemble the colors of the American flag.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Watermelon, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, and star-shaped cheese filled the board, with delicate white flowers sprinkled on top for a summery touch.\n<\/p>\n “Happy 4th of July!,” Meghan captioned her post, inviting followers into her family’s celebration. The video offered a warm, personal look at how the Sussexes are making new traditions in California.\n<\/p>\n Eagle-eyed royal watchers also may have noticed Meghan\u2019s outfit for the occasion. She wore a familiar blue-and-white striped top, a similar one to the one she sported at Wimbledon<\/a> in July 2018, when she attended the tennis championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London alongside Kate Middleton<\/a>. In February, she shared videos of Archie and Lili\u00a0marking Valentine’s Day<\/a>\u00a0with red bagels and strawberries cut into heart shapes. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s family also had a\u00a0green-themed breakfast on St. Patrick’s Day<\/a> in March and honored Prince Harry with a banner on Father’s Day<\/a> last month.\n<\/p>\n Despite Prince Harry’s U.K. heritage, Independence Day has a significant meaning for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Harry revealed in his 2023 memoir, Spare, that the couple had their second date on July 4, 2016<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n Prince Harry recalled in the book, “She walked in, wearing a pretty blue sundress with white pinstripes. She was aglow. I stood and said:\u00a0‘I bear gifts.’ A pink box. I held it forward. She shook it.\u00a0‘What\u2019s this?’ ”\n<\/p>\n “She opened the box,” he continued. “Cupcakes. Red, white and blue cupcakes, to be exact. In honor of Independence Day. When Reeve asked how Harry was enjoying life in California, Prince Harry shared he had\u00a0thought about becoming a U.S. citizen<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n He clarified, “American citizenship is a thought that has crossed my mind but certainly not something that is a high priority for me right now.”\n<\/p>\n
