4<\/p>\n Pop star Lee Brennan shared his cancer journey on This Morning today 4<\/p>\n Lee was diagnosed when he was eight years old and his cancer returned 4<\/p>\n 911 stars Spike Dawbarn, Lee Brennan and Jimmy Constable pictured in 1997Credit: Alamy<\/p>\n The singer<\/a> was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma<\/a> when he was just eight years old.<\/p>\n Lee was left wheelchair bound and weighing just two and a half stone. <\/p>\n After beating cancer he then found another lump five years later and had to endure another round of chemotherapy to treat Hodgkin lymphoma.<\/p>\n The uncommon cancer develops in the lymphatic system, a network of vessels and glands spread throughout your body that’s part of the immune system.<\/p>\n Lee recalled: \u201cIt was really tough, and I blocked the world out. <\/p>\n “I didn\u2019t really go out and stuff like that- I was isolated, either in hospital or at home. <\/p>\n “I stopped going out because I lost my hair, hated the way I looked, I was skin and bone.\u201d<\/p>\n The star<\/a>, who shot to fame in the 90s alongside Spike Dawbarn<\/a> and Jimmy Constable,<\/a> revealed that his love for Take That<\/a> inspired him to join a boyband. “I did, I loved Take That and I wanted to get into a boyband, and luckily Spike and Jimmy were looking for someone.”<\/p>\n Now cancer-free, Lee remains positive but admitted he still lives with the aftereffects of his illness. <\/p>\n He said: “I am all clear now. There\u2019s a few things that have happened along the way, but I\u2019m happy and living life. It\u2019s taught me things.”<\/p>\n I was a 90s boyband star who sold 10million records but hotel room lock-ins led me into a drugs spiral… I know exactly how Liam Payne struggled<\/p>\n However, the biggest blow came when he discovered years later that he could no longer have children. <\/p>\n He added: “The main repercussion for me was finding out I couldn\u2019t have children, and that was a huge blow. <\/p>\n “It\u2019s something I\u2019ve come to terms with over the years, and I\u2019m alive\u2014that\u2019s the important thing.”<\/p>\n Lee is now raising awareness for Lymphoma Out Loud<\/a>‘s campaign Know Your Nodes, encouraging people to check for early signs of cancer and seek medical advice if they notice any changes.<\/p>\n What is Lymphoma?<\/p>\n Lymphoma is the most common cancer in young people.<\/p>\n Around 2,100 people are diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in the UK each year.<\/p>\n![\"Lee](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/lee-brannan.png\")
