{"id":238517,"date":"2025-07-04T22:18:11","date_gmt":"2025-07-04T22:18:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/238517\/"},"modified":"2025-07-04T22:18:11","modified_gmt":"2025-07-04T22:18:11","slug":"oasis-pay-tribute-to-victims-of-manchester-arena-attack-at-first-gig-since-2009","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/238517\/","title":{"rendered":"Oasis pay tribute to victims of Manchester Arena attack at first gig since 2009"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Images of bees appeared on the big screens<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/0_bees.jpg\" loading=\"eager\"  \/>The tribute came during a rendition of Don&#8217;t Look Back In Anger(Image: Manchester Evening News)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Oasis paid tribute to the victims of the Manchester Arena attack during their huge reunion gig in Cardiff tonight.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Images of bees appeared on the big screens at the Principality Stadium in the Welsh capital during the band&#8217;s rendition of classic track Don&#8217;t Look Back In Anger.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The song gained a special meaning in the city following the atrocity on May 22, 2017, committed as music fans left an Ariana Grande concert. 22 innocent people lost their lives.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">An impromptu singalong of the number one single among mourners at a vigil held in St Ann&#8217;s Square became an iconic moment in the aftermath of the bombing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">While the worker bee, a long standing symbol of the city, gained a more prominent and widely acknowledged role as a Manchester icon following the attack.
