Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>The insider said Harry, 40, is \u201chopeful\u201d his dad will set aside their differences to support the biennial sports competition for wounded, sick or injured service people and veterans.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe royals have always been hugely supportive of Invictus and proud of what Harry has achieved in that arena. This is one olive branch from him which might be reciprocated,\u201d the source said.<\/p>\n<p>The advanced timing of the invite was reportedly designed to give royal family members the best chance of attending, as Charles\u2019 schedule starts filling up three years in advance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHarry has agreed that Invictus should extend an invitation to his family,\u201d a source told Daily Mail. Samir Hussein\/WireImage<\/p>\n<p>However, it\u2019s unclear if the king will be able to attend the event as the 2027 Invictus Games are scheduled to kick off on July 10 that year and wrap on Queen Camilla\u2019s 80th birthday, July 17.<\/p>\n<p>There  no Invictus Games in 2026. <\/p>\n<p>Page Six confirmed that no invites have been issued to anyone yet, whether they be friends, family, government, military, sponsors, or other VIPs, as the event is more than two years out. We also learned that the invite list is decided by the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 team and not Harry. <\/p>\n<p>Harry\u2019s attempt to reconcile with his older brother and their dad inspired mixed reactions from royal experts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe royals have always been hugely supportive of Invictus and proud of what Harry has achieved in that arena. Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe king might attend to show support for the armed forces and congratulate Harry on the most significant success in his life,\u201d royal biographer Ingrid Seward told the Daily Mail.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe only reason the king is wary of associating with his son is that he no longer trusts him not to repeat their private conversations as he has done in the past,\u201d she said, adding, \u201cThis goes for all the working members of the family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Royal commentator Katie Nicholl upheld Charles\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/02\/07\/royal-family\/king-charles-wants-to-reconcile-with-prince-harry-amid-cancer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">intention to make amends with the Duke of Sussex. <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Harry has expressed interest in burying the hatchet with his dad.
