As \u2018Alligator Alcatraz\u2019 begins taking in illegal migrants, one US<\/a> state has floated opening another detention center surrounded by another menacing animal \u2013 bears. <\/p>\n Alaska responded to a Trump administration official\u2019s call for migrant detention centers similar to the newly opened one in the middle of the Florida<\/a> Everglades to be built. <\/p>\n \u2018Every governor of a red state, if you are watching tonight: Pick up the phone<\/a>, call (the Department of Homeland Security), work with us to build facilities in your state so we can get the illegals and criminals out,\u2019 White House<\/a> deputy chief of staff for policy Stephen Miller said on Fox News\u2019 The Ingraham Angle earlier this week.<\/p>\n Alaska replied: \u2018We don\u2019t have alligators, but we have lots of bears.\u2019<\/p>\n \t\t The unidentified spokesperson also said: \u2018I am not aware of any plans for an Alaska version of Alligator Alcatraz.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n It comes as President Donald Trump<\/a> on Tuesday toured the \u2018Alligator Alcatraz\u2019 facility<\/a> at the Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport in Ochopee which can already house at least 3,000 migrants. <\/p>\n Florida officials noted that the center is surrounded by dangerous animals including alligators and pythons, as well as mosquitos, giving potential escapees a treacherous path ahead. <\/p>\n Trump praised the facility, which was first offered by Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier<\/a>, and said the Sunshine State would be getting another a second one like it \u2018and probably a couple more\u2019.<\/p>\n \t\t He said he wanted to see more such facilities in \u2018many states\u2019.<\/p>\n \u2018The incredible thing is picking the site because the site was one of the most natural sites. It might be as good as the real Alcatraz,\u2019 Trump said, referring to the infamous former\u00a0maximum security prison at Alcatraz Island in\u00a0California<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u2018Well, that\u2019s a spooky one too. That\u2019s a tough site.
