The popular restaurant is closing after many years in Birmingham city centre<\/p>\n
A popular Birmingham restaurant has permanently closed, with bosses saying it was ‘a difficult decision’.<\/p>\n
The Botanist has been on Temple Street in Birmingham city centre<\/a> since April 2015, with diners enjoying a decade of cocktails, Sunday roasts and trademark hanging kebabs.<\/p>\n A second Botanist restaurant opened on Canal Street Basin last year, offering a similar menu in a large waterside setting. It’s free.<\/strong><\/p>\n One said: “The Botanist in Birmingham<\/a> (Temple Row) has just closed. I had a booking and they just cancelled as they are permanently closing.”<\/p>\n We visited the restaurant and were told ‘it is closing’ but hasn’t closed yet.<\/p>\n And a search on Google showed that it had ‘permanently closed’.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for NWTC, who are responsible for The Botanist, said: \u201cWe have made the difficult decision to close our Birmingham, Temple Street site. This decision has not been taken lightly, but we believe is in the best interests for the overall health of the business.
