{"id":239410,"date":"2025-07-05T06:28:12","date_gmt":"2025-07-05T06:28:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/239410\/"},"modified":"2025-07-05T06:28:12","modified_gmt":"2025-07-05T06:28:12","slug":"highbridge-firms-staff-complete-major-mental-health-training-drive-for-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/239410\/","title":{"rendered":"Highbridge firm&#8217;s staff complete major mental health training drive for 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Food manufacturer Bakkavor has delivered a major boost to workplace wellbeing across its Somerset and Wiltshire sites, with all 169 managers at its Highbridge and Devizes facilities completing Mental Health Awareness Training as part of a company-wide commitment to supporting colleagues\u2019 health.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The training, delivered over 20 sessions, saw 87 managers in Highbridge and 82 in Devizes take part in comprehensive workshops designed to improve understanding of mental health, build confidence in supporting colleagues, and promote a more open and supportive workplace culture.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, all colleagues at both sites have completed \u2018All Colleague Mental Health Awareness\u2019 training, ensuring a consistent level of awareness across the workforce.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.burnham-on-sea.com\/?attachment_id=218927\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-218927 noopener\" data-slb-active=\"1\" data-slb-asset=\"2012061298\" data-slb-internal=\"218927\" data-slb-group=\"218924\" target=\"_blank\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-218927\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/s6muNMKw8IA5-Bakk-A1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"690\" height=\"519\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The initiative is part of Bakkavor\u2019s national wellbeing strategy, which focuses on physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing. The company has also partnered with charities including Samaritans and GroceryAid to provide additional support and resources.<\/p>\n<p>Locally, the Highbridge and Devizes teams have gone above and beyond with a series of practical and engaging wellbeing events, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Launch of a new outdoor rest area in Devizes, with one planned for Highbridge<\/li>\n<li>The UK\u2019s first Menopause Caf\u00e9 at the Devizes site<\/li>\n<li>Discounted gym memberships for Highbridge staff, following a visit from Sutton Moore Sports Centre<\/li>\n<li>Community walks and a 20-mile sponsored walk by the Highbridge team for Weston Hospicecare<\/li>\n<li>Guest talks from local councils on healthy lifestyles and work-life balance<\/li>\n<li>Access to a DigiCare app offering digital GP appointments, mental health consultations, and nutritionist support<\/li>\n<li>On-site physiotherapy and occupational health services for musculoskeletal and general wellbeing support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Natasha Whitehouse, Senior HR Business Partner at Bakkavor Desserts, said: \u201cWe are a people business, and we are committed to looking after the wellbeing of our colleagues.
