Former Watford striker Troy Deeney has been left astonished at one thing regarding Sheffield Wednesday\u2019s current situation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sheffield Wednesday have been handed three separate embargoes<\/a> by the EFL, with the club facing the consequences of Dejphon Chansiri\u2019s oversight.<\/p>\n

The Thai owner has struggled to pay players and staff for the last two months, which has led some members of the first-team squad to hand in a 15-day notice if their full pay is not handed in.<\/p>\n

In recent weeks, the ongoing situation at Sheffield Wednesday<\/a> has attracted national press coverage, with many blaming Chansiri for the issues<\/a> afoot in S6.<\/p>\n

Even TalkSPORT have discussed the issues with the Owls, which led to Troy Deeney making one statement in regard to their situation.<\/p>\n

There is a serious concern around Hillsborough that this season could be disastrous for the Owls \u2013 Sheffield Wednesday are yet to even plan a pre-season schedule, let alone plan towards the 2025\/26 Championship campaign.<\/p>\n

It seems as though positive news is so far and between for Sheffield Wednesday at the moment, which has left Troy Deeney to say one thing regarding the current situation.<\/p>\n

Speaking on TalkSPORT<\/a>, Deeney said: \u201cI feel like Sheffield Wednesday, for close to a decade now, has been spoken about negatively from a financial point of view.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of the biggest clubs, in England, let\u2019s be honest, I feel like we have never spoken about Sheffield Wednesday in a positive way.\u201d<\/p>\n

Financial concerns have plagued the majority of Chansiri\u2019s tenure in S6, and the latest developments have thrown up the biggest hurdle for the club to climb over.<\/p>\n

There are so many concerns at Sheffield Wednesday that appear to still be unresolved.<\/p>\n

Most importantly, players are close to walking, with Josh Windass reportedly one of the Sheffield Wednesday players set to leave. Club legend Barry Bannan is also now a free agent, although is still training with the club, not at Middlewood Road, but at the Jubilee Sports Club, where the community programme is housed.<\/p>\n

Staff continue to go without pay, and there is no indication from the club regarding when they will receive the money they are owed.<\/p>\n

At the moment, it seems that every day that goes by, things get worse for Sheffield Wednesday.
