Young Noble has died aged 47, his fellow Outlawz member E.D.I. Mean has confirmed. <\/p>\n

The rapper \u2013 real name Rufus Lee Cooper III -also featured in the music group alongside the late Tupac Shakur and reportedly died in Atlanta<\/a> on Friday.<\/p>\n

In an Instagram<\/a> post featuring pictures of the pair of them, E.D.I. Mean (real name Malcolm Greenidge), wrote<\/a>: \u2018Today I got some of the worst and unexpected news imaginable. My brother and partner for over 30 years took his life this morning.<\/p>\n

\u2018Rest in Power Rufus Young Noble Cooper.\u2019<\/p>\n

He added: \u2018I obviously am in no shape to talk about this right now so PLEASE give his family and I some time to process this. Mental illness is a real battle being fought by so many. CHECK ON YOUR FOLKS!\u2019.<\/p>\n

The caption read: \u2018I\u2019m at a loss for words.\u2019<\/p>\n

Shakur\u2019s official Instagram account, which is managed by his estate, reshared the post with the song Never Had A Friend Like Me and the caption: \u2018RIP Young Noble\u2019.<\/p>\n

Under the original post, condolences flooded in for the hip-hop artist who reportedly died from self-inflicted wounds, per TMZ.<\/p>\n

Snoop Dogg wrote: \u2018Damn cuz. Sending prayers to the family.\u2019<\/p>\n

DJ Premier echoed: \u2018This is so sad to get this news Edi.
Damn I\u2019m speechless right now. My dude Noble.\u2019<\/p>\n

Shakur died from his injuries after being shot four times in 1996.<\/p>\n

Cooper made his debut on Shakur\u2019s posthumous album,\u00a0The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory with his featured songs including, Bomb First (My Second Reply), Hail Mary, Life of an Outlaw, and Just Like Daddy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He also launched his own solo career in 2002 with Noble Justice. This was followed by Son of God\u00a0in 2012,\u00a0Powerful in 2016 and\u00a03rd Eye View\u00a0in 2019.<\/p>\n

In June, Cooper posted a throwback photo of Shakur (pseudonym Makaveli) to celebrate his birthday.<\/p>\n

\u2018Happy Heavenly Birthday to The Goat Makaveli. The greatest to ever do this\u2026\u2019 he wrote<\/a> in the caption. <\/p>\n

In an interview with The Art of Dialogue<\/a> in 2024, he grew emotional as he recalled Shakur\u2019s final days, saying he \u2018was right there, front and centre\u2019 and debunking the ongoing rumours about his death.<\/p>\n

Cooper, who was born in 1978 in California before moving to New Jersey later in life, where he was handpicked by Shakur for Outlawz, suffered from ill health in recent years. <\/p>\n

In May 2021, he posted<\/a> that he had a \u2018severe heart attack\u2019 as he thanked his \u2018amazing doctors\u2019 and shared he was \u2018grateful for a second chance\u2019.<\/p>\n
