A car was driven into the side of a house before being set alight in south Belfast.<\/p>\n
The front of the property suffered major damage in the incident at Erinvale Avenue shortly before midnight.<\/p>\n
No-one was inside at the time.<\/p>\n
Police have appealed for information and said they are treating the incident as arson. <\/p>\n

Detective Sergeant McVeagh, said: \u201cAt around 11.55pm on Friday July 4, it was reported that a car was on fire in a driveway of a property in the Erinvale Avenue area of south Belfast.<\/p>\n
\u201cOfficers attended, alongside colleagues from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, who extinguished the blaze.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur investigation is underway and it is believed that the car had been driven into the front of the house, before it had been set alight.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe front of the house had significant damage following this and the car was completely burnt out. We are treating this report as arson.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo one was in the property at the time.<\/p>\n
\u201cI appeal to anyone who may be able to assist with their investigation or has CCTV, dash-cam or mobile phone footage, to contact us on 101, quoting reference 1732 04\/07\/25.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are especially keen to hear from anyone who had noticed any suspicious activity or anything out of the ordinary in the Erinvale Avenue area.\u201d<\/p>\n
