Sheffield Wednesday have been given a positive update regarding the potential of a sale in the near future.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This summer has been catastrophic for Sheffield Wednesday<\/a> in every sense, with the Owls facing several issues as the 2025\/26 Championship season approaches.<\/p>\n

Sheffield Wednesday owner Dejphon Chansiri has been unable to pay players<\/a> and staff, with a handful of first-teamers understood to have handed in their 15-day notice after not receiving their wages.<\/p>\n

Chansiri has been the subject of ridicule<\/a> in the national media amid the situation unfolding at the club.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Every day, Sheffield Wednesday fans have been bombarded with bad news, but the next update regarding the club could give supporters the hope they need of progress being made towards a sale.<\/p>\n

Per a report by The BBC<\/a>, they revealed a positive update regarding any potential takeover of Sheffield Wednesday. The process of selling the club is now reportedly in the hands of \u2018a professional team with a proven track record of selling football clubs\u2019.<\/p>\n

Progress has been made in the form of non-disclosure agreements being signed regarding any potential sale of the club, something that Chansiri was initially reluctant to sign.<\/p>\n

The report also states that there is \u2018more than one interested party and sources believe a sale can be completed without the need for administration. <\/p>\n

There is also confidence that a sale can be completed in weeks as opposed to months.<\/p>\n

The situation that Sheffield Wednesday currently find themselves in is incredibly dire; however, this update could give supporters the hope they need going into the 2025\/26 campaign.<\/p>\n

There are so many issues that need to be resolved, focusing specifically on footballing matters. With no recognised head coach at the club, because of Danny Rohl\u2019s incredibly likely departure, Sheffield Wednesday need to bring someone in soon to oversee pre-season.<\/p>\n

A race against time is also underway with the out-of-contact players; whilst it would be highly unlikely that a takeover could be completed in advance of the first-teamers who handed in their notice, any prospect of a near takeover and the assurance they would be paid could potentially help change their minds.<\/p>\n
