One Sheffield Wednesday player looks likely to leave amid the current concerns under Dejphon Chansiri as a move to Turkey awaits.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sheffield Wednesday have undergone a torrid summer<\/a> so far, with a catalogue of issues springing up in the reign of Dejphon Chansiri<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Staff have no indication of when they will be paid the money they are owed, whilst Danny Rohl continues to not take part in Sheffield Wednesday\u2019s pre-season<\/a> as he looks to orchestrate a departure from S6.<\/p>\n

However, one of the main concerns for Sheffield Wednesday lies with the players not being paid<\/a>, with a selection of first-teamers handing in their notice to the club.<\/p>\n

The future of several players is in doubt, and it now looks like one man is set to leave the club as a move to Turkey now looks likely.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the 2025\/26 Championship season, it is expected that Sheffield Wednesday could lose several players in the first team, and it now looks as though the dominoes are starting to fall.<\/p>\n

Per reputable Turkish journalist Re\u015fat Can \u00d6zbudak, Sheffield Wednesday winger Mallik Wilks is set to join Istanbul-based side Pendikspor.<\/p>\n

Wilks played last season on loan at Rotherham United after it was made clear that he had no future at Sheffield Wednesday under Danny Rohl. <\/p>\n

The 26-year-old\u2019s contract at the club expired this summer, giving him the freedom to move elsewhere.<\/p>\n

Playing alongside Wilks at the New York Stadium was Jonson Clarke-Harris, who also looks set to join the Turkish side after the pair were spotted in Istanbul.<\/p>\n

Mallik Wilks\u2019 future at Hillsborough was never likely to be resolved<\/p>\n

Because of the current circumstances that Sheffield Wednesday find themselves in, with there being no ability to bring players in, it would be expected that Chansiri would work tirelessly to keep as many of the current crop as possible.<\/p>\n

But unfortunately, Wilks\u2019 time at Sheffield Wednesday simply has not worked out. Between struggling with injuries and stringing games together, it would make more sense for Wilks\u2019 career for him to start on a clean slate.<\/p>\n

He would have been a decent option for Sheffield Wednesday in attack this season, especially in the situation they find themselves in. Wilks bagged nine goals, and notched four assists in League One last season, which are fairly respectable numbers from the attacker.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, convincing him to remain at Hillsborough in the current situation would always be an uphill struggle for the club.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
