Fire crews have rushed to Sutton Park <\/a>as an ‘avoid the area’ plea was issued today, Saturday, July 5.<\/p>\n

West Midlands Fire Service said three crews were called to the scene, in Sutton Coldfield, just before 4.30pm.<\/p>\n

They responded to reports of a grass fire.<\/p>\n

In a post on X, the fire service said: “We have three crews in attendance at Sutton Park, Sutton Coldfield<\/a> where they have responded to a grass fire.<\/p>\n

“Please avoid the area, where possible.”<\/p>\n

In May, fire crews dealt with three fires at a popular beauty spot in a week.<\/p>\n

Officers used hose reel water jets to extinguish the flames.<\/p>\n

It comes as fire crews also responded to a separate incident in Bordesley Green<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The fire service added: “We have four crews in attendance at a house fire on Somerville Road, Bordesley Green<\/a>, Birmingham<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“The road will remain closed between the junctions of St Oswalds Road and Charles Road.<\/p>\n
