Former Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay kept Napoli\u2019s title hopes alive with two goals against Empoli on Monday night.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The notion of players improving and making a big impact after leaving Manchester United<\/a> just continues to grow.<\/p>\n

Antony impressed the Spanish media against Barcelona<\/a> last week with his loan move to Real Betis continuing to reap rewards.<\/p>\n

Then there is Scott McTominay<\/a>, who could end the season as a title-winner after joining Napoli last summer.<\/p>\n

United sold McTominay to Napoli<\/a> on transfer deadline day back in August, sanctioning a rather emotional exit.<\/p>\n

Some may still feel that United should have kept McTominay, especially as replacement Manuel Ugarte has blown hot and cold this season.<\/p>\n

That was on show on Monday night as McTominay opened the scoring against Empoli with a brilliant driving run and finish inside the first 20 minutes.<\/p>\n

Former United striker Romelu Lukaku added number two before McTominay headed in Lukaku\u2019s cross for a 3-0 victory.<\/p>\n

The two former United stars enjoyed a great night as Napoli secured all three points and kept the pressure on league leaders Inter Milan.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

United fans still love McTominay and will be delighted to see him thriving in Italy.<\/p>\n

In the dark times at Old Trafford, McTominay always gave his all and never shied away from the challenge.<\/p>\n

Eurosport<\/a> went with an eight out of 10 as well, praising him for a \u2018monstrous\u2019 performance in the Napoli midfielder.<\/p>\n
