The search proved to be far more gruelling than she had expected.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">\u201cI sent out maybe 200 or 300 CVs,\u201d the 25-year-old told the Post. \u201cIt took half a year to find something stable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">After six months of juggling part-time work as a Chinese language tutor, Hu has now secured a full-time role in teaching. But the job only provides a temporary respite, as her employer does not sponsor skilled worker visas.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">That means Hu will need to find another solution to stay in the UK after her two-year post-study work visa expires in late 2026. \u201cIt\u2019s really tough,\u201d she said. \u201cIf I can\u2019t sort it out, I\u2019ll have to prepare to go back to China.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hu is far from alone in struggling.
