Picture: BHF<\/p>\n<p>It was timed to coincide with the launch of the Argos unit at Sainsbury\u2019s in Kingsmead Road, but the closure has left a huge gap at the site since.<\/p>\n<p>However, three years on and the British Heart Foundation (BHF) has now made the 745 sq m unit its new home following its opening on Thursday (July 3).<\/p>\n<p>BHF\u2019s retail area manager, Donna Evans, says its home and fashion store is offering shoppers sofas, beds, electronics, as well as clothing.<\/p>\n<p>She said: \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to open our doors here in Canterbury and want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the local community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe incredible support, whether through generous stock donations or simply popping in to the shop, has made this week\u2019s launch truly special.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"rthmb\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg xmlns=\" http:=\"\" viewbox=\"0 0 2018 1408\" alt=\"BHF's new store on the Marshwood Close Retail Park in Canterbury.
