A teen was arrested after a man was attacked in the street. Merseyside Police <\/a>were called to Liverpool city centre<\/a> on Friday morning following reports of an incident at the junction of Lord Street and Church Street.<\/p>\n When officers arrived at around 11.50am they found a man in his 50s had reportedly been hit in the face.<\/a> The victim suffered swelling to his cheek and was taken to hospital for treatment. Police arrested a 19-year-old man at the scene on suspicion of S47 assault, possession of an offensive weapon and affray.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for Merseyside Police<\/a> said: “We were called to the junction of Lord Street\/Church Street at around 11.50am on Friday, July 4, following reports a man in his 50s had been assaulted.<\/a><\/p>\n “The man was reportedly hit in the face and suffered swelling to his cheek.
