Vernon Kay<\/a> has shared his thoughts on Liam Gallagher<\/a>‘s vocals, following Oasis<\/a>‘ first gig in Cardiff<\/a> on Friday. The BBC<\/a> Radio 2 presenter was amongst the 74,500 fans in the crowd, who embraced the long-awaited comeback from the brothers.<\/p>\n The Cardiff gig marked Liam and Noel Gallagher’s first time on stage together in 16 years, following a fallout back in 2009.<\/p>\n In an adorable moment captured on camera at the gig, the brothers were seen holding hands as they walked out to the crowd together before belting out their hits.<\/p>\n Quizzed about their unexpected display by Zoe Ball on her show on Saturday, Vernon said Liam was also seen with his arm around his sibling.<\/p>\n Furthermore, Vernon addressed fans’ concerns about Liam’s voice potentially not being ready for the gig, after the singer told fans he was taking throat lozenges, sour candies and cough syrup last month.<\/p>\n Sharing his thoughts, Vernon, 51, said: “To be honest with you, three of four songs in, and I’m going to say this, nobody is going to be disappointed.<\/p>\n “Nobody is going to be upset because, ‘Oh, Liam’s not sounding great’, Liam Gallagher last night sounded absolutely brilliant, superb!<\/p>\n “He was excellent, it was like the Liam of 96, he was so good. He didn’t shout, he sang the lyrics and his voice was magnificent.<\/p>\n “It was the Liam Gallagher that we know, we love, we admire, and we’d like a night out with.”<\/p>\n He went on to say: “I believe that Liam has been looking after his voice because he wants everyone to have a really good time, and with all the hoo-ha about the tickets, it was worth every single penny and yes I did pay for my ticket.”<\/p>\n Vernon gave fans an insight into his night out at the gig with his family on Instagram.<\/p>\n Captioning the post, he admitted “tears were shed” during the concert.<\/p>\n He also claimed that the pair’s comeback was “one of the best gigs” he’s ever been to, and echoed his thoughts on Liam’s voice being “on fine form”.<\/p>\n Additionally, he praised Noel for “killing it” on the guitar, and added that the duo were “note perfect”.<\/p>\n During the show, Liam thanked fans for “putting up with” them over the years, adding: “We are hard work, we get it.”<\/p>\n He also made a comment about the controversy over ticket prices for their gig, as he asked the crowd: “Are you having a good time?
