part of an event at the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.belfastlive.co.uk\/all-about\/theatre\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Edinburgh Festival Fringe<\/a> this summer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The Spotlight On Theatre And Dance From Northern Ireland initiative on August 19 is delivered by Theatre and Dance NI (TDNI), in collaboration with <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.belfastlive.co.uk\/all-about\/belfast-international-arts-festival\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Belfast International Arts Festival<\/a>, and supported by British Council Northern Ireland and The National Lottery through the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Now in its seventh year, the event aims to shine a light on work created by artists and arts organisations from Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The exposure of being part of the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.belfastlive.co.uk\/all-about\/theatre\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Edinburgh Festival Fringe<\/a> gives an opportunity for the artists to connect and network with international arts industry figures with a view to having their work tour internationally.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The three productions from <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.belfastlive.co.uk\/all-about\/northern-ireland\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Northern Ireland<\/a> being profiled in 2025 are Anthem For Dissatisfaction by Gina Donnelly with SkelpieLimmer Productions, Consumed by Karis Kelly, a Paines Plough, Belgrade Theatre, Sheffield Theatres and Women\u2019s Prize for Playwriting production in association with the Lyric Belfast and Shame Show by Colm McCready and Fergus Wachala-Kelly with SkelpieLimmer Productions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">In addition, four <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.belfastlive.co.uk\/all-about\/northern-ireland\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Northern Ireland <\/a>artists will travel to Edinburgh as part of the Fellowship Programme, designed to support artists, directors, and producers who are exploring future opportunities at the Fringe.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">This year\u2019s fellows are Carley Magee, Ronan McManus, Gemma Mae Halligan and Lisa May.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Niamh Flanagan, executive director of Theatre and Dance NI said: \u201cOver the past seven years, Spotlight at the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.belfastlive.co.uk\/all-about\/theatre\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Edinburgh Fringe<\/a> has demonstrated the strong national and international appetite for theatre and dance from Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cThe festival has created invaluable opportunities\u2014drawing attention from national and international programmers leading to touring, collaboration, and other opportunities both at home and abroad.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cThis recognition continues to elevate Northern Ireland\u2019s reputation on the global cultural stage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cThe Spotlight programme now extends beyond Edinburgh, providing support to artists and companies as part of both the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.belfastlive.co.uk\/all-about\/belfast-international-arts-festival\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Belfast International Arts Festival <\/a>and Belfast Children\u2019s Festival.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">She added: \u201cWe are delighted to present three exceptional artists as part of this year\u2019s Spotlight
