Leeds United are set to push to sign a new goalkeeper in the summer transfer window and have identified Aaron Ramsdale and Nick Pope as key targets.<\/strong><\/p>\n Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider\u2019s Inside Track podcast<\/a><\/strong>, former Leeds goalkeeper Paul Robinson explained that the two England internationals, aged 27 and 33 respectively, have been heavily tipped as options to replace Illan Meslier.<\/p>\n Meslier, 25, has been widely tipped to leave Elland Road this summer after an error-stricken season which has forced Daniel Farke to consider his options.<\/p>\n Robinson told Football Insider<\/strong> on 5 July that he \u201cwould love\u201d Leeds to sign Ramsdale<\/a> amid speculation about a move to Rangers to replace Jack Butland.<\/p>\n However, he explained that the club are having a close look at Pope, who could be allowed to leave Newcastle as they close in on a move for James Trafford.<\/p>\n Football Insider<\/strong> exclusively revealed on 2 June that Pope would prefer to stay at Newcastle<\/a> despite interest from Leeds as he aims to compete for the number one spot.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n MORE FOOTBALL INSIDER STORIES<\/p>\n Leeds eye new goalkeeper signings after Ramsdale tip<\/strong><\/p>\n Football Insider<\/strong>\u00a0revealed in April that\u00a0Farke sees Ramsdale as a \u201cgreat fit\u201d for Leeds<\/a>\u00a0and is a \u201cbig fan\u201d of his as they continue to weigh up a move.<\/p>\n The Southampton shot-stopper is widely expected to leave St Mary\u2019s Stadium this summer following their relegation from the Premier League after his release clause became active.<\/p>\n Robinson explained that Ramsdale would be his choice to become Leeds\u2019 next number one, but Pope is a name they are heavily considering.<\/p>\n \u201cRamsdale, I\u2019ve said before on record, I\u2019d love him to go to Leeds,\u201d he told Football Insider.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cI know Leeds are now strongly looking at Nick Pope as well.<\/p>\n \u201cThese are two goalkeepers they have been heavily linked with this summer.<\/p>\n \u201cFor Aaron Ramsdale, with the World Cup coming up, he wants to get back into that England reckoning as a real challenger.\u201d<\/p>\n On top of their ambitions of signing a new goalkeeper this summer, Farke\u2019s side are also aiming to bring back a star of last season in Manor Solomon.<\/p>\n Robinson told Football Insider<\/strong> on 4 July that Leeds will do everything to sign Solomon<\/a> on a permanent deal this summer after he returned to Tottenham.<\/p>\n However, they are not expected to be alone in their pursuit of the Israel international, while Thomas Frank plans to assess his future in pre-season training.<\/p>\n This comes after former Spurs scout Mick Brown told\u00a0Football Insider<\/strong>\u00a0that\u00a0Burnley are interested in signing Solomon<\/a>\u00a0and have joined Leeds in the race for his signature.<\/p>\n For
