One of the world\u2019s most luxurious trains will be calling at Glasgow twice next weekend.<\/p>\n
The 1930s-style Northern Belle will leave Glasgow Central<\/a> Station\u00a0at 10.55am on Friday, July 11 and at the same time on Sunday, July 13.<\/p>\n It is scheduled to arrive back in the city at 6.20pm.<\/p>\n Both times, passengers will board over a red carpet laid on the station platform before being handed their first glasses of champagne and being served caviar blinis on the luxury trip.<\/p>\n Then,\u00a0a sumptuous seven-course meal with wine will be served with diners being serenaded by the train\u2019s onboard musicians while a conjurer adds his own touch of magic.<\/p>\n The\u00a0journey will travel across\u00a0the West Highland line, which, with its stunning scenery of glens, lochs, waterfalls and mountains, has been voted the world\u2019s top railway journey.<\/p>\n Iconic luxury train to come to Glasgow Central next week\u00a0 (Image: Supplied)<\/p>\n READ NEXT:\u00a0<\/strong>I tried this beloved Glasgow spot just before it closes for huge refurb<\/a><\/p>\n The train will also pick up passengers from Edinburgh Waverley at 12.40 both days.<\/p>\n The train will do two further trips in August, including one to Oban, and then later in the year, there will be two slap-up Christmas Lunch excursions.<\/p>\n Hollywood actor Bill Nighy described the Northern Belle, once part of the iconic Orient Express set-up, as \u201cthe Grand Dame of luxury travel\u201d when it featured on a Channel 5 TV<\/a> documentary.<\/p>\n
